Well, Isola d’Elba is surely one of the most beautifull islands I’ve seen. It actually is also the first Italian Island I’ve ever visited. It obviously has the same colours with the rest of Italy, with a little more saturation at every part of it. It has a lot of yellow, light-brown, and crympson colours with a beutifull sense of warmth inside. I wander if what I experience those 3 days I spent there is the natural and normal way of living for native people of Elba , or if it was only the family I met that was that way. A so colourfull, warm and happy when at the same time funny and noisy place with people that love Christmas and celebrate it in a calm and beautifull way. I also happened to visit some other places is in the island, what whould it be like for them? Places like the Pioggi or Sant’Andrea that are practicaly mountains but at the same time an Island? What is the life of those people that at 5 o’clock, stand in rocks at the end of December fishing with their backs on a mountain, although they look at the great see? Are they as calm as they seem? How could we know? We probably can’t , not yet. But at some point we might know. For me, Elba is a island with a beautifull port, a great structure, and a very intresting part of history, if we consider that Isola D’Elba is the place where Napoleon was sent to so many years ago. Also for me it is an example of warmth, a funny and beautifull place to visit and also live in for a great while.
